The delicious breakfast can be enjoyed on location or packed up for you for the road, while homemade baked treats, snacks, and a coffee bar are available all day. Kathy is a great host and is super accommodating if you have any specific needs. Enjoy the hammock, winding walking paths, or the sauna. A private massage therapist can be arranged for in room massage therapies. Rates start at $219 a night, with a two-night minimum on most weekends.
Exit on Huguenot Street, turn left onto Old Kingston Road and right onto Shivertown Road.
We'd be remiss not to mention the Rocking Horse Ranch Resort, an all-inclusive family resort. Activities on premises range from banana boating and other water sports in the summer, to year round horse back riding, and snow tubing in the winter. There is nightly entertainment in the Silverado Saloon and a Fun Barn for some serious kid play. Rates start at $459 a night for four-person occupancy. The resort is about 3 miles south of Lloyd or four miles west of Highland. While you may not want to interrupt travelling the trail, you can always come back with the whole family afterwards.
